Kelly Siegersma, summer 2011 Bike & Build participant

Kelly Siegersma is in her final year at Central Michigan University. She first learned about the Bike & Build program from her roommate, to whom she initially replied, “You’re crazy!” However, she has been training and fundraising all year to prepare to bike across the country. On her trip, along with 34 other cyclists, she will be building homes, raising money and spreading awareness of Affordable Housing. She is passionate about volunteering in her everyday life at CMU and is looking forward to spending an entire summer helping others.

Big Brothers Big Sisters: Josh & Tristen

Big Brother Josh Bartell spends the afternoon with Little Brother Tristen Phillips, Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011. They have lunch at Max & Emily’s then go bowling in the Student Activity Center on Central Michigan University’s campus, Mount Pleasant, Mich.

A hard weekend it has been.

This post will also be similar to the one on my far less interesting jrn 340 blog.

I apologize for being unable to post an entry this weekend.

This was my weekend:

All weekend, from the end of my classes Friday until my drop back into reality at 5:30 am this morning.

I must say though, the internet is a good coping tool. I found a new webcomic, IDK comics. The main characters are cynical, talking puzzle pieces. Random humor calls to me.

I tried to post a portfolio of sorts in the portfolio tab, but the flickr slideshow would not embed. I don’t know why. It worked on my blogspot blog. Guess I need some help.

I’m sorry this post isn’t very interesting, but it is what it is.

With love,
-JD

Working on a replacement blog for See Something New.

Enjoy as I attempt to make this aesthetically pleasing.
In the meantime, please view the far cooler blogspot version: Essence of Imagination.

Or, if you want some entertainment, observe:
This is what I do.
